Summer is upon us and it's time to open up the 'Have Your Say' column again starting with one of the most anticipated films of the year - "The Amazing Spider-Man 2".
The film is now out in pretty much every corner of the globe and is making a truckload. But is it any good?
The new film is scoring a fairly disastrous 53/100 on Metacritic, compared with a not great 66/100 for the first one. A similar story is happening on Rotten Tomatoes where it's earning a 54% and a 5.9/10 compared to 73% and a 6.7/10 for the first. Yet reading the reviews, there's a real debate over which of the two is better.
The main complaints are that it's overstuffed, too much going on with too little actual story. Jamie Foxx in particular is being singled out for delivering a bad performance. The scenes with Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone though are getting praised even amongst the naysayers.
