Kristin Chenoweth will play iconic Disney villain Maleficent in Disney Channel's upcoming live-action telemovie "The Descendants". The story set in a present-day idyllic kingdom, with the benevolent teenage son of the King and Queen (Beast and Belle), Ben, poised to take the throne.

His first proclamation: offer a chance at redemption to the trouble-making offspring of Cruella De Vil (Carlos), Maleficent (Mal), the Evil Queen (Evvie) and Jafar (Jay), who have been imprisoned on a forbidden island with the other villains. [Source:

Term Life
Belgian actress Cecile De France has joined the cast of the Vince Vaughn starrer "Term Life" at Univrsal Pictures, playing the estranged wife of Vaughn's character.

Vaughn plays a crook who takes out a life insurance policy on himself before going on the run with his estranged daughter (Hailee Steinfeld). Filming recently wrapped. [Source: Deadline

Vincent and Roxxy
Anton Yelchin and Megalyn Echikunwoke will star in the indie crime thriller "Vincent & Roxxy" at Unified Pictures.

Gary Michael Schultz wrote the script about the title characters, two young people on the run who fall in love while going on a crime spree. Filming begins in Austin in July. [Source: THR]

Spy
Allison Janney has scored the role of top CIA agent Elaine Crocker in Paul Feig's upcoming comedy "Spy". The character is described as tough but with a biting sense of humor.

Melissa McCarthy, Jason Statham, Rose Byrne, Jude Law, Bobby Cannavale, Morena Baccarin, Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson and Miranda Hart also star. The film is targeting a Memorial Day 2015 release. [Source: Deadline]
