Sandra Bullock is reportedly circling "The Help" director Tate Taylor's untitled period drama about the rise of Tupperware for Mandeville Films/TV.
If she joins, Bullock would play trailblazing sales executive Brownie Wise. Earl Silas Tupper developed Tupperware, but the invention didn't really take off until Wise came up with the idea of "Tupperware parties" which became a national success.
Wise also became popular with the product, and was the first woman to appear on the cover of Business Week. However, she clashed with Tupper and he not only pushed her out in 1958 but tried his best to erase her from the company records.
Based on Bob Kealing's non-fiction book, Taylor is adapting the script while David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman will produce.
