Scott Gimple, current show runner on AMC's "The Walking Dad," has suggested the high-rating genre series which recently wrapped its fourth season, could go on for a decade if not longer.
Talking with Larry King and answering fan-submitted questions, the topic of the show's longevity and eventual end came up. Gimple says:
"As a TV show, all TV shows end, but I will say, I think it's possible that it could go on and on and on. I think if it went ten years, if it went longer than that, it's possible that the cast - considering the amount of deaths on this cast and everything else - after ten, twelve years, it could shift into a whole new cast."
Gimple also spoke about upcoming events in the fifth season. He says he expects fan-favorite character Daryl to find romance sometime in the future, and that there will be another romance on the show soon aside from Maggie and Glenn. We will also find out what happened to Beth.
