No "X-Men"/"Fantastic Four" Crossover

Earlier this week producer Avi Arad re-affirmed that there are no plans to crossover "The Amazing Spider-Man" franchise and its various spin-off films with any other Marvel universe movies like "The Avengers" at Marvel Studios or the "X-Men" films at 20th Century Fox.

Now, a 'well-placed source' for Schmoes Know says that rival Fox has no plans to merge its two big Marvel franchises - the "X-Men" movies and its upcoming "Fantastic Four" reboot.

Their source claims Fox wants director Josh Trank's "Fantastic Four" reboot to stand on its own without any help from the X-Men mutants, and hopefully do well enough to warrant multiple sequels. Fox may consider a crossover down the road, but there are no plans for it in the near future.

Mark Millar, who is working for Fox as a consultant on their Marvel movies, previously said that both franchises exist in the same universe but will not cross over.
