Chris Pine ("Star Trek") is in talks to star in Disney Pictures' real-life naval story "The Finest Hours" which "Fright Night" director Craig Gillespie is in tale to helm.
The story follows two oil tankers caught in massive Nor'easter storm off the New England coast in 1952. The ships split in two, and their crews were thrown into the ferocious seas.
The coast guard is called in and attempts a rescue. James Tamasy and Eric Johnson ("The Fighter") adapted the script based on Casey Sherman and Michael J. Tougias' book.
