Producer Jerry Bruckheimer looks set to have a busy end of year with at least two major sequels gearing up to begin filming before year's end.
At last report, Disney hadn't yet green lit "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales". Today, Bruckheimer says a rough schedule has already been set.
"[I hope to] get that going by this fall or end of the year if everything lines up properly" the producer tells THR. Originally slated for a July 2015 release, the project was delayed so that directors Espen Sandberg and Joachim Ronning could revamp the script by Jeff Nathanson.
A bigger surprise in the interview is that a fourth film in the "Beverly Hills Cop" series could also be shooting before year's end. At last report Brett Ratner would direct and Eddie Murphy would return as Detective Axel Foley, but not much further progress has been made.
Now, a script is reportedly completed and a late August/early September date is being targeted which would make this Ratner's next film once he finishes promotional commitments for "Hercules".
As for the storyline? "We're going to take Eddie back to Detroit. He's going to be in Beverly Hills... So we're going to have some fun with him" says Bruckheimer.
