If you sit through the end credits of the upcoming "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" expect a surprise, though how pleasant it is may depend upon which country you're watching it in.
Empire reports that at UK screenings of "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," a clip from rival studio Fox's "X-Men: Days Of Future Past" has made it onto the film's end credits as a 'stinger'.
According to the report, the clip is a straight up scene from 'Days', NOT a specially crafted stinger like Marvel Studios routinely does for their films and which the first "The Amazing Spider-Man" did.
The scene sees Mystique, Havok and Toad taking on William Stryker (Josh Helman) and his men. Sony have confirmed that the clip will be attached to the film in the UK.
This, however, sounds like a territory-by-territory style deal. I attended a media screening of "Amazing Spider-Man 2" in Australia this past Monday night and sat through the end credits for the film.
No stinger of any kind was attached at any point in the credits, something that actually caused a very brief booing from the audience who otherwise seemed to enjoy the film and had applauded when the end credits began to roll.
"The Amazing Spider-Man 2" is out in the UK and Australia this week and hits U.S. cinemas on May 2nd.
