HBO's "Game Of Thrones" pulled in 6.3 million viewers on Sunday night at 9PM, up 48% compared to season three's second episode. It also managed another 1.7 million across a pair replays later in the night - putting it steady with last week's fourth season premiere. [Source: Zap2It]
In stark contrast were ratings for the seventh season premiere of AMC's "Mad Men". The acclaimed drama returned to 2.3 million viewers at 10pm last night, that's only just ahead of the 2.06 million who watched the second season debut back in 2008. That's also down 32% in total viewers from the 3.4 million viewers who saw the sixth season premiere last year, and the 2.7 million who saw last season's finale. [Source: Zap2It]
Netflix has announced a Friday July 11th release date for the second season of its horror series "Hemlock Grove". All ten episodes of the new season will debut on the streaming service on that date.
While the first season was based on the book by Brian McGreevy, the second goes into its own original storyline, based on McGreevy's creations. [Source: IGN]
