Captain America's reign at the top of the U.S. box-office looks to be short lived with Fox's animated sequel "Rio" set to take the top spot this weekend.
Early Friday estimates are in and "Rio 2" looks set for an opening weekend in the $40-45 million range. "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" is expected to drop around 59% in its second weekend, almost exactly on par with the drop of last year's two major Marvel Studios films "Iron Man 3" and "Thor: The Dark World". Even so, it'll be a tight race for second with 'Soldier' likely to come in around the $40 million range.
The horror tale "Oculus" looks like it will come in third with a $13 million early weekend estimate, followed by the Kevin Costner-led sports drama "Draft Day" with $11.5 million. Both "Divergent" and "Noah" will fight it out for fifth and sixth with around $7 million each.
