"Railway Man" stars Nicole Kidman and Colin Firth are set to re-team on the long-developing drama "Genius" which also stars Michael Fassbender.
Based on A. Scott Berg's National Book Award winning biography "Max Perkins: Editor of Genius", the story deals with the real-life tender and complex friendship between literary giant Thomas Wolfe (Fassbender) and renowned editor Max Perkins (Firth).
Wolfe became famous from a young age for both his talent and larger-than-life personality. Perkins is one of the most respected literary editors of all time who discovered talent such as F. Scott Fitzgerald and Ernest Hemingway.
While most writers struggle with their words, Wolfe had the opposite problem and butted heads with Perkins who demanded he keep to a tight word limit. It was a volatile relationship, but one that changed both their lives.
John Logan ("Skyfall," "Gladiator") penned the script This would mark Kidman and Firth's third collaboration together, the second being the upcoming thriller "Before I Go To Sleep" which is already complete.
