Miami Vice Shootout Turns Real

Michael Mann's film adaptation of classic series "Miami Vice" has hit a delay after a real-life shooting reports Bang Showbiz.

Production on the remake starring Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx had to be halted in the Dominican Republic after a soldier shot an armed man near the hotel where the cast and crew were working.

The soldier, who is part of a team assigned to provide security for Farrell, Foxx and the rest of the cast, had been standing guard outside the hotel when he was approached a man who suddenly pulled out a pistol and began firing shots.

The man's rampage was stopped after the soldier, who reportedly fired just one round, shot Torres in the side of his body. Shooting on the movie is expected to resume in the city of Santo Domingo later this week, and security is expected to be increased on set.
