In a surprise change, Johnny Knoxville and Tony Shalhoub have been added to the cast of Jonathan Liebesman's "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" reboot at Paramount Pictures and Platinum Dunes.

Knoxville ("Jackass") will voice the role of Leonardo, whilst Shalhoub ("Monk") is voicing the turtles' giant rat mentor Splinter.

During filming, Pete Ploszek played Leonardo and Danny Woodburn played Splinter on-set in their mo-cap suits and insiders say the studio was always open to changing the voice component of the film.
