Petals on the Wind
Lifetime is moving fast on its "Flowers in the Attic" telemovie sequel. A May 26th premiere date has been announced for the telemovie "Petals in the Wind" which jumps the story a decade ahead.

Rose McIver and Wyatt Nash take on the roles of the now grown Cathy and Chris Dollanganger. Heather Graham, Ellen Burstyn and Dylan Bruce will reprise their roles whilst Will Kemp takes on the key new role of Cathy's love interest Julian. The first promo photos for the telemovie are up at EW.

Survivor's Remorse
Jessie T. Usher ("Level Up") has scored the lead role in the LeBron James-produced basketball comedy series "Survivor's Remorse" on Starz. Usher plays a basketball phenom who is suddenly thrust into the limelight after signing a multi-million dollar contract.

Ronreaco Lee ("Tyler Perry's Madea Goes to Jail") has been cast as his cousin and confidant, Erica Ash ("The Real Husbands of Hollywood") as his sister, and Tichina Arnold ("Everybody Hates Chris") as his mother. [Source: Variety]

Mind Games
ABC has axed its midseason drama "Mind Games" after just five episodes. The Christian Slater and Steve Zahn-led series scored a 0.6 rating and just two million viewers during its last episode.

This marks the third recent casualty in ABC's 10pm slot following "Lucky 7" and "Killer Women". Encores of the network's much-needed new hit "Resurrection" will take over the time slot for the next two weeks before "Celebrity Wife Swap" moves into the slot. [Source: The Live Feed]

From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series
The El Rey Network has given an early renewal to its first scripted series "From Dusk Till Dawn." After three episodes have gone to air, El Rey has given the green light for a second season of 13 episodes. Filming will take place in Austin, Texas. [Source: The Live Feed]

Summer Premieres
The various networks have been announcing the premiere dates of their original scripted series line-ups for this Summer.

On NBC, medical drama "Night Shift" opens May 27th, the John Malkovich-led pirate drama "Crossbones" begins May 30th, and the just acquired Luc Besson-produced action series "Taxi Brooklyn" will premiere June 25th. On the comedy side "Undateable" premieres May 29th, whilst "Welcome To Sweden" and "Working The Engles" begin July 10th.

On ABC, limited series "Black Box" kicks off April 24th. "Motive" and "Mistresses" begin their second seasons on May 21st and June 2nd respectively. "Rookie Blue" begins its fifth season July 17th, and "The Astronaut Wives Club" premieres July 24th.
