Iron Man Film Not Happening?

After two long years of fruitless development and despite some big names attached at one point or another, New Line Cinema may have to drop their adaptation of the comic "Iron Man" reports IGN Filmforce.

It now seems that Iron Man will "revert back to its comic book publisher" unless New Line intervenes. What this could potentially mean is that Iron Man could be absorbed into Marvel Studios, of which can now produce its own films with Paramount.

Tom Cruise has long wanted to play Tony Stark but reportedly couldn't make a deal with New Line or work out his busy schedule to fit in the project. As Cruise is a big part of the Paramount family though, his attachment might possibly happen again if it moves.
