During a shareholder call this morning, Disney CEO Bob Iger confirmed some details about J.J. Abrams' upcoming "Star Wars: Episode VII". All of the details have long been rumored, but when the boss of Disney announces it to the company's investors - it becomes fact.
First up, shooting begins in May at Pinewood Studios, with story set 30 years after "Return of the Jedi". The only confirmed character at this stage is R2-D2, but the movie will feature "three new young leads as well as familiar faces".
Iger also discussed the fifth "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie and surprisingly it's not as certain as you might think. Iger has confirmed that "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" has not yet been given a green light despite writers being set and a 2016 release date being rumored.
