German actor Thomas Kretschmann ("Avengers: Age of Ultron," "King Kong") has signed on to play the villain in "Agent 47," the new film adaptation of the "Hitman" video game franchise.
Kretschmann is LeClerq, the chairman of Syndicate International, an organization which is striving to create an army of unstoppable agents.
Rupert Friend stars as the deadly, barcoded, bald assassin. Zachary Quinto and Hannah Ware also have unspecified roles. Filming is currently underway in Berlin under the helm of Aleksander Bach.
