Acclaimed Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen may be adding another high-profile role to his resume, alongside being a memorable Bond villain and the current Hannibal Lecter.
Bleeding Cool reports: "According to one pretty solid Marvel-adjacent source, Mikkelsen apparently is, or has been, somewhere in the mix for the film's early casting discussions."
The film in question? The long-rumored "Doctor Strange" movie which got a bump this week after it was revealed four directors were currently in consideration for the film.
The report goes on to say: "I'm still trying to find another source on that, or to clarify which part it would be, and whether or not Mikkelsen might have already passed or been passed over. And there were other names mentioned at the same time, that I'm also still investigating."
This has lead to the suggestion that the 48-year-old Mikkelsen may instead be up for the role of Strange's arch-nemesis, the evil Baron Mordo.
