Director Adam McKay has talked about it before, but now it's really happening. Paramount has officially scheduled the release of "Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues... Continued," a completely alternate cut of the recent comedy sequel with this one being marketed on the fact that it contains "763 new jokes".
McKay previously revealed that whilst filming the comedy sequel they had enough surplus jokes and alternate takes that they could craft a whole other movie out of the material. It looks like they've done just that.
McKay says: "When my editor told me we had a whole different version of the movie that was more than two hours long with nearly 800 new jokes, I was shocked. But when Paramount said they were actually going to put it in theatres, I did a 1950s spit take. If you're a hardcore Anchorman fan, go see this. If you're not, stay very far away."
Ron Burgundy and the gang return for this new version which will hit cinemas in the U.S. and U.K. for a limited one-week run starting February 28th.
