Filming has begun in Johannesburg on Marvel's upcoming "Avengers: Age of Ultron". This first leg of shooting will take place in the South African city for the next two weeks ahead of further location shoots in northern Italy and South Korea.
Major traffic disruptions are expected for the next two weeks. This week sees the closure of Albertina Sisulu Road from 7am to 7pm between Harrison and Rissik streets. Other roads are expected to be closed 24 hours a day.
JMPD spokesman Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar has appealed to motorists to be patient and to avoid the CBD if they can.
None of the main cast is expected for the filming which mostly consists of action photography sequences.
