Made for just a few million, but managing to pull in over $115 million at the U.S. domestic box-office alone, it comes as no surprise that a sequel is in the works to the 2012 stripper drama "Magic Mike".
Now, the film's star and producer Channing Tatum has tweeted confirmation that he finally sat down and began work writing the script for "Magic Mike 2". Tatum tweeted late yesterday: "What better way to start writing #MagicMike2 than with my old friend Dallas? #runatribe"
He also included a shot of himself at work, seeking inspiration from a bust of Matthew McConaughey sitting on his desk.
Tatum himself has previously indicated he may direct the movie seeing as Steven Soderbergh has retired from filmmaking. Whether that happens, we'll see.
