Red Flag
Maggie Q ("Nikita," "Divergent") will topline the early 1800s China-set limited series "Red Flag". Q plays Ching Shih, a beautiful young Chinese prostitute who goes on to become one of history's most powerful pirates and head of the most successful crime syndicate in China.

With over 100,000 sailors and 1500-plus vessels at her command, Ching controlled the South China Sea and took on the Imperial Chinese, Portuguese and British navys to eventually conquer them all. [Source: Deadline]

Bates Motel
A new 30-second promo trailer is out for the upcoming second season of A&E's "Bates Motel". While the previous teases have been more abstract, this one is all footage from the new episodes and showcases Norma's increasing need to control her quickly unraveling son.

Author Diana Gabaldon is set to make a cameo in the upcoming TV series adaptation of her popular "Outlander" book series. Rather than be a background extra, Gabaldon talks about her scene:

"The lady in question is at the Gathering, and the scenelet in question takes place in one of the galleries over the Great Hall." [Source: EW]

Silicon Valley
The first trailer has arrived for "Office Space" and "Beavis and Butthead" creator Mike Judge's new HBO comedy series "Silicon Valley".
