Saoirse Ronan ("The Host") and Cynthia Nixon ("Sex and the City") have joined Nikole Beckwith's psychological thriller "Stockholm, Pennsylvania" at Fido Features. Filming begins next week in Los Angeles.
Ronan plays a developmentally stunted young woman raised by a kidnapper who now struggles to acclimate to her actual parents after twenty years of separation.
Nixon and David Warshofsky play the girl's grief-stricken parents, who go to extreme lengths to recapture their daughter's love.
Jason Isaacs plays her captor. An adaptation of a play, the script made the 2012 Black List and won the 2012 Nicholl Fellowship. Greg Ammon is producing.
