UFC fighting champ Ronda Rousey has signed on for two high-profile projects at Warner Bros. Pictures - Brad Thor's "Athena Project" and the upcoming movie based on HBO's comedy series "Entourage".
Rousey will begin shooting her role in the "Entourage" movie in mid-March and is said to be playing one of the female leads.
"Athena Project" is still looking for a writer so will be in development for sometime. Rousey reportedly attached herself to the project before a studio became involved.
Based on the novel by Brad Thor, the story follows a top secret, all-female Delta Force counterterrorism team sent in to hunt and kill a master terrorist after a bombing in Rome. The situation turns out to be far more complicated.
Rousey already filmed roles last Fall in both "The Expendables 3" and "Fast and Furious 7" and there's already great word of mouth about her work in both.
