Test screenings for Marvel's "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" have reportedly been taking place with the already strong word of mouth only getting better.
Now, apparent details of the sequel's post credit sequence have emerged. While "Thor: The Dark World" setup this year's "Guardians of the Galaxy," the stinger for 'Winter Soldier' apparently sets up next year's "Avengers: Age of Ultron".
Lainey Gossip claim to have been at one of the test screenings and have details on that along with some bits of information about the film, the most notable being that Emily VanCamp's role as Sharon Carter is essentially a "glorified cameo" which is why she's not been in many promo materials so far. As for the stinger, here's their description (POTENTIAL SPOILERS AHEAD):
"There's a big reveal that general audiences won't see coming (and ought to open some doors to fix that awful [Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.] show). But the thing that's probably going to leave people talking the most is the post-credits stinger. They're calling them "The Twins", the brother-sister team of Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch, and they don't look like any Marvel heroes we've met to date. Having seen them, I am really sad for Fox and the X-Men: Days of Future Past."
In other 'Captain' news, eight new stills from the film have come online showcasing a pensive looking Anthony Mackie along with various shots of Chris Evans fighting.
The surprise though? While the trailers and the Superbowl spot have played coy as to the identity of the Winter Soldier, the new photos go right ahead and give a full face shot - effectively SPOILING who it is for those who don't already know. You have been warned.
