It hits cinemas this weekend, but Warner Bros. Pictures is already so happy with "The LEGO Movie" that they are already prepping the sequel.
Jared Stern ("The Internship") and Michelle Morgan (“Girl Most Likely”) are attached to pen the script. Stern is a member of the Warners animation 'Brain Trust' - a group that includes the first LEGO film's writer-directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller, along with "Crazy, Stupid Love" writer-directors John Requa and Glenn Ficarra, and "The Muppets" scribe Nicholas Stoller.
Market research indicates "The LEGO Movie" could gross upwards of $40 million this weekend at the U.S. box-office.
