"Man of Steel" scribe and "The Unborn" director David Goyer is attached to direct the sci-fi action thriller "The Breach" which Lionsgate picked up late Friday and is fast-tracking into production.
Based on the 2009 novel by Patrick Lee, the story follows a corrupt ex-cop trying to get his life back in order when he discovers a crashed plane in the Alaska wilderness.
The First Lady is amongst those dead in the wreckage, setting off an adventure featuring a beautiful survivor, assassins, a secret organization, alien technology and the possible end of the world.
Justin Rhodes adapted the script while Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Nellie Stevens-Reed are producing. The book is the first of a novel trilogy.
