Marvel are said to be so impressed with how the upcoming "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" is turning out that the film's directors Anthony and Joe Russo are attached to return to direct the third film in the series.

It's surprising considering said film hasn't officially been greenlit at yet. In any case negotiations won't begin until after 'Soldier' premieres in April. Strong results from recent test screenings indicate they may have a major critical and commercial hit on their hands.

Many of the actors involved in 'Winter Soldier' are under options for a third instalment, but it all depends upon how well the movie performs - especially in many overseas markets where it will bow first in late March.

Marvel and the Russos are said to be putting together an outline of what the third film's story arc would be.

Aldo today, Marvel has announced a Prelude Infinite Comic to the upcoming "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" which can be downloaded right now. The story explores a stormy period just prior to 'Winter Soldier' as they hunt for the Zodiac device.

The story is available to buy at Marvel.com
