Benedict Cumberbatch is attached to star in "Mongol" and "Seventh Son" director Sergei Bodrov's new thriller "Blood Mountain".
Jonathan W. Stokes and John Romano penned the script which follows a private military contractor and his special forces team who have captured one of the world's most wanted terrorists.
When the rest of the team is ambushed and killed during a covert raid, the contractor is forced to personally escort his unwilling and dangerous captive across hostile terrain as insurgents and rival mercenaries close in.
Lawrence Bender, Nicola Horlick and James Gibb are producing and filming begins in April in Morocco. The project will be shopped around at the European Film Market next month.
