Filming is finally slated to begin in Los Angeles next month on Paramount's "Paranormal Activity 5" which is due in cinemas in October.
Director Gregory Plotkin is currently locking down cast members for the indie horror film to join series star Katie Featherston for this outing. A bunch of new characters are featured, and a casting breakdown indicates who we'll be spending time with:
Ryan is a late twenties video-game designer, a "big kid" who has relocated from New York to Pala Alto for a new job at Rockstar Games.
His wife Emily is a more serious, mature and more 'on the go' person who still getting over the death of her sister a year before. She's also a bit of a hippie.
The pair have a fearless, opinionated tomboyish six-year-old daughter named Leila. Another character is Mike, Ryan's more socially awkward twin brother.
Needless to say, this young family's new home turns out to have more than they bargained for.
