Disney's Bob Iger has confirmed that they are talking about developing a Broadway show based on their current animated feature hit "Frozen".
However, he tells Fortune that it will be some time off: "We're not demanding speed… we're demanding excellence". The company is also considering sequels, while sales of licensed toys from the film are strong.
The movie has been a massive critical and commercial success for Disney Animation Studios. Though it opened to a strong $67 million at Thanksgiving, the real story has been the movie's staying power - continuing to impress two months into its run.
It is now the fourth highest-grossing film of 2013 with $317 million domestically and $395 million internationally. Not accounting for inflation, it's expected to soon outgross previous Disney Animation champ "The Lion King".
