"Ellen" Show Investigates "Walter Mitty" Leak

An awards screener copy of "The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty" that leaked online a few days ago has been traced back to the talk show of this year's Oscar host Ellen DeGeneres.

Producers on the talk show are working with 20th Century Fox to investigate the matter, they do say they aren't sure if they are the source of the leak. The production issued the following statement:

"Our show is sent advanced screeners before guests appear on our show. We do everything we can to protect the content and in eleven seasons nothing has ever leaked online from our show. We’re not sure if this leaked from our show or not, but we are doing everything we can to find out and to make sure it never happens again."

The DVD was reportedly delivered to the "Ellen" show on November 27th and picked up several days later. During that time someone scanned a copy which was later uploaded to the Internet.

While numerous awards screeners for this year's titles have leaked, 'Mitty' stood out due to the watermark on that copy directly indicating it was made for the "Ellen" show.
