Redbox's 10 Most Rented Films Of 2013

Redbox users love Melissa McCarthy, the comedy actress is the main star "Identity Thief" and "The Heat" - the top two movie rentals of 2013 through Redbox's kiosks.

The company has just released its top ten movie rentals of 2013 lists, based on a rental data from January 1st through December 8th. The list is big on action and comedies, especially the latter starring either McCarthy or Kevin James:

  1. Identity Thief
  2. The Heat
  3. World War Z
  4. Flight
  5. Olympus Has Fallen
  6. Django Unchained
  7. Grown Ups 2
  8. White House Down
  9. Here Comes the Boom
  10. Now You See Me

The company also released a few more statistics:

"World War Z" was the top-renting Blu-ray disc of the year.

"Marvel's The Avengers" was the most streamed title on Redbox Instant.

"Olympus Has Fallen" was the fastest movie to surpass one million rentals - doing that in just three days.

"Now You See Me" stayed in the daily top ten longer than any other title (63 days).

"The Imposter" was the top-renting documentary.
