Author Nelson DeMille's famed witty detective John Corey from his various novels is coming to television.
DeMille has confirmed in a tweet that Lionsgate is producing a cable TV series adaptation of his 1997 novel "Plum Island" which could hopefully air as early as sometime during summer next year. He also adds that 'hopefully' John Corey will be played by Aaron Eckhart.
In the book, Corey is an NYPD homicide cop resting up on the eastern part of Long Island after being wounded in the line of duty. He's soon drawn into the investigation of the murder of a biologist couple he knows, a couple whose work could have global implications.
