"The Boondock Saints" writer/director Troy Duffy has setup two new projects - one for television, the other for film.
Duffy, Jimmy Miller and Sam Hansen will produce "Kingdom Come," a proposed early 19th century-set TV series focusing on Capt. Jean Lafitte, a pirate who built the largest smuggling operation on U.S. soil.
He and his crew ended up defending New Orleans against the British for which they received full pardons, but was ultimately whitewashed from history.
On the film front, Duffy will write and direct the thriller "The Blood Spoon Council" for Voltage Pictures.
The story follows a vigilante group led by an eccentric mastermind profiler that hunts, captures and disposes of serial killers.
