Renee Zellweger will topline "Miss Potter," a biopic about Beatrix Potter for Phoenix Pictures reports Variety.
"Miss Potter" explores the life of the author of such beloved children's books as "The Tale of Peter Rabbit" and her struggle for independence in Victorian England. Live-action pic will have some animated elements.
Ewan McGregor is in talks to play Norman, Potter's publisher and love interest. Chris Noonan ("Babe") will direct Richard Maltby Jr.'s script, an interesting change considering Director Bruce Beresford and Cate Blanchett had been previously attached to the pic.
Shooting is scheduled to begin on location in the UK in March.
