Fifty Shades of Grey
Marcia Gay Harden and Dylan Neal have joined the cast of "Fifty Shades of Grey". Jamie Dornan stars as Christian Grey, the sexy billionaire who seduces college student Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson).
Harden will play Christian Grey's adoptive mother, Dr. Grace Trevelyan Grey. Neal plays Anastasia's stepfather and husband of Carla Adams (Jennifer Ehle). Filming is currently underway in Vancouver. [Source: NY Daily News]
A United Kingdom
David Oyelowo ("The Butler," "The Help") has been set to star in and produce the Seretse Khama biopic "A United Kingdom" for Pathe. A director is currently being sought ahead of a shoot next year in London and Botswana.
Oyelowo will play Seretse, heir to the African throne of Botswana, created a sensation in 1948 by engaging in a whirlwind romance in London with Ruth Williams, a white English office worker he married. The interracial union was opposed by their families, governments and tribal elders. [Source: Deadline]
Jessica Lowndes ("90210") has scored the female lead in Brian A. Miller's $10 million action thriller "The Prince" starring Jason Patric, Bruce Willis, John Cusack, 50 Cent, Johnathon Schaech and Rain. The film is currently shooting in Alabama.
Patric plays a family man and retired mob enforcer who must travel across the country to find his missing college-age daughter in New Orleans. Lowndes plays a troubled college co-ed who partners with Patric's character. [Source: Heat Vision]
A Most Violent Year
Oscar Isaac ("Inside Llewyn Davis") is teaming with "All is Lost" helmer J.C. Chandor on the latter's next project "A Most Violent Year". Isaac replaces Javier Bardem in the period drama.
Set in 1981, Isaac will be playing a Hispanic man who immigrates to America and winds up a very successful businessman. Filming begins in New York at the end of January. [Source: THR]
