Daniel Knauf, the executive producer/head writer on NBC's "Dracula", is developing a similar new treatment of another classic monster - "The Wolfman".
Entitled "The WolfMan," the supernatural thriller series is inspired not by the 1941 classic but by the critically reviled 2010 remake starring Benicio Del Toro.
The story centers on Lawrence Talbot, who is afflicted by an ancient curse to become a werewolf. Knauf is writing and executive producing with Scott Stuber and Quan Phung, Stuber was a producer on the film.
Should all go well, the series would join NBC's "Friday supernatural block" currently anchored by "Grimm" and "Dracula".
