Grand Theft Lawsuit: The Ballad Of La Lohan

Lindsay Lohan has reportedly called in her lawyers to take action against Rockstar Games, the creators of "Grand Theft Auto V", for use of her image without her permission.

TMZ reports that Lohan's lawyers are currently crafting a lawsuit demanding Rockstar pay for the use of Lindsay's image in the game.

Specifically the complaints are about the cover art of a woman holding a cellphone who resembles Lohan. It's also to do with that character's role in the game such as a scene where she's trying to escape the paparazzi.

Another scene has one of the game's protagonists sneaking into a Chateau Marmont-like hotel to photograph the "Lindsay-like character" having sex on camera. Lohan frequents that famous hotel and lived there for a year at one point.

The question is if her complaints hold water? Model Shelby Welinder previously confirmed that she is the woman on which the GTAV cover art is based and offered documented proof of that. For comparison sake, here's Welinder next to the cover art in question:

Rockstar has not commented on the matter.
