Alec Baldwin's Talk Show May Not Be Back

Well that didn't last long.

Alec Baldwin has expressed uncertainty if his MSNBC late night talk show program will return to the air at all. Baldwin tells The Huffington Post:

"Whether the show comes back at all is at issue right now, but if the show dies, its fate ends up being no different than the vast majority of start-up TV programming, and so be it. We do take a small amount of pride in knowing that we beat CNN in the ratings each of our nights. (I forget who they had on at that time.)"

Airing on Friday nights, "Up Late With Alec Baldwin" began on October 11th and aired five complete episodes. The sixth was slated to air November 15th, but was pulled that day and the show was put on suspension for two weeks.

The suspension took place due to Baldwin hurling gay slurs at a photographer during a confrontation earlier in the week. The insults were caught on camera and were widely circulated online. He has since apologised, saying "I did not intend to hurt or offend anyone with my choice of words, but clearly I have - and for that I am deeply sorry."
