Out doing press ahead of next week's DVD/Blu-ray release of "2 Guns", the film's director Baltasar Kormákur gave a quick update on a potential sequel.
The Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg-led action film cost $61 million to make, and grossed ultimately $131 million worldwide. Reviews were mixed, leading to not many expecting a sequel. Nevertheless, Kormákur is already said to be considering it:
"Yeah, [Mark and I] talked about it as a possibility, absolutely, but it hasn't got to the stage of like, 'Let's do it.' Of course, I would love to, but that's a financial discussion that I haven't had.
Certainly, there could be more to come from [Wahlberg and Washington's characters]. It's a great opportunity to do that and have more fun, but if not, that's fine."
Kormákur's next film is the adventure thriller "Everest" starring Josh Brolin, Jake Gyllenhaal, Jason Clarke and John Hawkes.
