Casting: Hoult, Tope, Gere, Upton, Stevens

Autobahn
Nicholas Hoult ("X-Men: First Class," "Warm Bodies") has replaced Zac Efron in "Welcome To The Punch" director Eran Creevy's upcoming thriller "Autobahn." Filming begins next spring.

Hoult plays a backpacker and his girlfriend (Amber Heard), who is hired by German drug smugglers, only for the job to go south and be forced to flee along the famed no speed limit freeways. [Source: Screen]

November Criminals
Newcomer Travis Tope and Catherine Keener are set to star opposite Chloe Moretz in Sacha Gervasi's adaptation of Sam Munson's 2011 novel "November Criminals" at Indian Paintbrush.

Set in Washington D.C., the story follows a rebellious teenager (Tope) who finds himself leading his own investigation into the murder of a classmate. Keener will play Moretz’s mother. [Source: The Wrap]

Old Fires
Richard Gere is attached to star in the indie family dramedy "Old Fires" for Anonymous Content. Heather McGowan ("Tadpole") wrote the script. Jonathan Demme was previously linked to direct but is no longer involved.

Gere plays a world-renowned architect who emerges from a coma in need of rehabilitation. With the help of his snarky female physical therapist, he tries to repair his damaged relationship with his family. [Source: The Wrap]

Entourage: The Movie
Swimsuit model-turned-actress Kate Upton has been considered for the female lead role in the "Entourage" movie at Warner Bros. Pictures.

Details of Upton’s potential role are being kept under wraps, though she could be playing the latest love interest of movie star Vincent Chase (Grenier). Shooting begins early next year. [Source: EW]

The Cobbler
Dan Stevens ("Downton Abbey," "The Fifth Estate") will join Adam Sandler in Tom McCarthy's indie drama "The Cobbler."
