Scott Waugh, the director of DreamWorks' upcoming film adaptation of the "Need for Speed" video game franchise, is in negotiations to helm an untitled international heist project for the same studio.
Scott Rosenberg ("Con Air") penned the current draft of the script which follows a man who has to pull off a seemingly impossible job.
In order to get it done he has to recruit his mentally unstable brother. "Underworld: Awakening" and "The Shield" writer John Hlavin created the original idea.
Steve Zaillian is producing. Waugh is one half of 'Bandito Brothers', he and collaborator Mike McKoy directed 2012's surprise action hit "Act of Valor".
