Samuel L. Jackson and Michael Caine are set to star in George C. Wolfe's dramedy "Harry and the Butler" for Radiant Films.
Jackson plays a derelict rollercoaster mechanic and one-time jazz virtuoso who lives in a converted train caboose in New Orleans.
Inheriting a large sum of money, he decides during a drunken celebration to hire a down-on-his-luck British butler (Caine).
Damian F. Slattery penned the script which is loosely based on a 1962 Danish film. The project has been in the works for some time, with Anthony Hopkins and Morgan Freeman attached to star at one point.
Philippe Rivier and Colin Callender will produce. Filming begins on location in Louisiana in the spring.
