"Street Fighter" Web Series Rights Sold

Content has sold worldwide online rights for "Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist" to an unspecified major global online channel.

Fight choreographer Joey Ansah makes his directorial debut on this new live-action martial arts web series adaptation of the Capcom video game series.

The story follows the formative years of Ryu and Ken (Mike Moh, Christian Howard), the last practitioners of the ancient fighting style known as Ansatsuken (Assassin’s Fist).

Similar to the "Mortal Kombat: Legacy" web series revival, the project started life as a proof of concept short film back in 2010 (which can be seen beloW). Capcom gave the creators the go-ahead, and the series was shot this past Summer in Bulgaria.

Funimation has also scored subsequent rights and windows in many western countries including the UK, Australia, US, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa and Scandinavia.
