Curious to see the new "Ender's Game" movie but worried you'll be putting money into the pocket of the outspokenly anti-gay author Orson Scott Card? Don't be.
The Wrap reports that according to multiple sources, Card's fee for the film has already been paid through a decade-old deal that includes no backend or profit participation. As a result, he won't earn a cent from tickets bought for the movie.
Card is listed as a producer on the film but had zero say or creative input in the adaptation. Where he is making money at the moment though are sales of the original 1985 novel which has hit the top of the latest New York Times Best Seller List for paperback mass-market fiction.
