Aussie actor Eric Bana ("Troy", "Hulk") is set to star in an adaptation of Raimond Gaitas' award-winning memoir "Romulus, My Father" reports Production Weekly.
Fellow Aussie thesp Richard Roxburgh ("Moulin Rouge", "Van Helsing", LXG) will direct the story of a young family's bid to start a new life in a hostile country, with the focus falling on the relationship between the boy and his father in the wake of his mother's death. Filming is scheduled to start in February in Australia.
Bana is currently at work on Steven Spielberg's "Munich" opening December 23rd and also has Curtis Hanson's "Lucky You" scheduled for next year.
