Appearing at the Savannah Film Festival this weekend, rising young actor Miles Teller ("The Spectacular Now") was asked about his future plans by Fandango.
The actor appears in next year's high-profile young-adult novel adaptation "Divergent". Like all films of that type, sequels are already being planned well ahead of the first film's release. About his upcoming schedule, he confirms that film's sequel "Insurgent" already has a start date in mind:
"Right now I'm kind of hanging out. I don't have anything that I'm doing until probably January or February. I don't know 100%. Obviously 'Insurgent,' the next 'Divergent' film ... I think they are going to start the second one in April."
Teller's name recently made the casting short list for the "Fantastic Four" reboot, so what does that mean for his rumored involvement?
"Uh, you know, I don't know. If that happens, if everything works out, then I will be pretty pumped. But then I'll also be working for ... it's like seven months out of your year. Which is not a bad problem."
This essentially sounds like they want him, but it will depend upon whether both shoots can schedule him for scenes.
