Though he was keen to return, choreographer-turned-director Kevin Tancharoen is no longer involved in the upcoming "Mortal Kombat" film reboot. In a brief tweet, he says only:
"After three years of Kombat. I've decided to move on to other creative opportunities. I wish everyone involved in the movie big success. Thanks!"
Tancharoen created the web series "Mortal Kombat: Legacy," the success of which led to the proposed revival of the big screen franchise based on the hit video game series.
He became linked with the film a while back. Though he says the project will move forward without him, no other talent has been announced at this time.
