Tom Cruise and his "Oblivion" director Joseph Kosinski are re-teaming for the racing drama "Go Like Hell" at 20th Century Fox.
Based on the 2009 book of the same name by A.J. Baime, the true story tale deals with the decision by young Henry Ford II to go against Enzo Ferrari's dominance on the Le Mans track in 1966. Ford challenged Ferrari with a car designed by racer-turned-car designer Carroll Shelby - the GT40.
The pair, along with young visionary Lee Iacocca, beat Ferrari at his own game at the most prestigious and brutal race in the world. In the process, turning around the dwindling fortunes of his grandfather's company.
Michael Mann was attached to direct back in 2011. The script is now likely to be overhauled to better suit Cruise and Kosinski. Lucas Foster and Alec Young are producing and filming aims to begin next year.
